Two Los Angeles council members moved to pour another $1.17 million into streetlight repairs Friday, chasing a problem that is already draining more than $20 million a year from taxpayers while entire neighborhoods sit in the dark.
Winston Pat, 20 – seen on wild surveillance footage doing doughnuts in a white BMW – was picked up on a warrant at his home and charged with two counts each of reckless endangerment, riot and criminal mischief in connection to the early April 18 street showdown along the Maspeth-Middle Village border, authorities said.
